**BREAKING NEWS**
FINAL PUBLIC CHARGE RULE
Effective on October 15, 2019

Dear Allies,

Today is the day we all hoped would never come. DHS’s final public charge rule has been posted to the Federal Register for inspection, with official publication scheduled for Wednesday. Here is a link to the final rule. If litigation does not prevent the rule from taking effect, the policy will become effective in 60 days on October 15. We will share more about the content later today and in the days to come. Please see the following stories from The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Politico. We will be sending another e-blast to the campaign later today with more information.

We will be hosting two calls - a quick campaign call for today and a more in-depth call on Wednesday - to discuss the DHS final rule on public charge.  In the next few days, we will be doing a deep analysis of the final rule text and updating our talking points if necessary.
