State of Gender-Based Microaggressions Among Women Surgeons, Residents and Medical Students
This survey is intended to gauge the prevalence and survey gender-based microgressions present among surgical fields nationally.  To participate, you must be a medical student, resident, fellow, or attending in a surgical field. 

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. We thank you in advance for your willingness to contribute to this study, and by continuing on to the survey, you are consenting to be a part of this study

Please note that if you feel uncomfortable at any time answering the questions or would not like to complete the survey, you may voluntarily exit at any time. Thank you for your participation.

A microaggression is defined as a "comment or action that subtly and often unconsciously or unintentionally expresses a prejudiced attitude towards a member of a marginalized group."

This portion of the survey consists of statements that describe experiences that some women have in their lives. Please read each statement carefully and then rate each statement based on your personal experiences.

First, rate how often you have had this experience in your own life. Please use the following scale:
